About Noda

Supporting members of the community to help each other...

We are a registered charity made up of compassionate staff and volunteers who kindly volunteer their time to support people at all stages of life facing challenge. We provide a listening ear to anyone who needs support to ensure no-one in our community feels alone or isolated.

Our ethos is to make a difference locally by training, empowering and supporting members of the community to help each other. Building a more resilient, inclusive and connected society.

Our volunteers are ordinary members of the public, most with their own experiences of challenges. Many are also professionals including nurses, ex nurses and others from the care sector with the same ethos. We continue to use their invaluable feedback to adapt our training and improve our services. We also help our volunteers in their own continuous self development.

Our organisation provides a wide range of support to people, ensuring there's something for everyone that comes along. From our psychotherapeutic therapies (CBT, Hypnotherapy, EMDR and bereavement counselling) and our holistic support (wellbeing groups, reiki shares and training, retreat days and weekends), to our wide range of groups (drama, women's, singing, culture and bereavement groups).

Set up in June 2018 we received our charitable status in October 2019 and continue to go from strength to strength as we gain more volunteers and supporters.

Our volunteers now number 32 and we have 6 board members. We have ongoing recruitment and training each month as the number of referrals we receive increase.
